Man dies in Tuesday night KCMO shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the third time in less than 24 hours, Kansas City, Missouri, detectives have another homicide to solve.

The latest killing happened about 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a Family Dollar Store at east 39th Street and Indiana Avenue.

Alfred Brown, 44, was the victim.

No information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting were immediately available.

This was the 40th homicide of the year in KCMO.

A middle school student was stabbed to death Tuesday morning at Northeast Middle School.

A woman was also found shot to death Tuesday afternoon at east 12th Street and Hardesty Avenue.
