KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As thousands of football fans entered the Miami Beach Convention Center to take part in the Super Bowl Experience, red shirts like Adrian Vidal’s stood out.
The 10-year-old quarterback’s favorite player is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“He just throws (the ball) long and I like it so much,” Vidal said. “I’ve never seen anyone else do it.”
Vidal wasn’t the only fan wearing a Mahomes shirt or jersey.
Jackson Drowos also wore his Mahomes shirt, in addition to Mahomes socks and a Kansas City Chiefs hat.
“His throw on the run. He’s very accurate. I just think it’s like very impressive,” the 7-year-old said.
Neither Drowos nor Vidal are from Kansas City.
Sean Harris isn’t from Kansas City either.
All three boys, however, are Chiefs fans only because of Mahomes.
“He can run, can do it all,” Harris said. “Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks.”
