A Thursday night taco bar in Kansas City, Kansas was about more than sharing a meal. It was about preserving a memory.

Isabell Addison, 18, was shot and killed in Kansas City Sunday night. A fundraiser was held in her honor on Thursday to raise money for her burial expenses.

“This is probably the first time since Sunday that I haven't cried out,” said her father Michael Addison. “We did this taco thing to help bury our daughter, and I'm thanking everybody that's been a part of this."

Addison was stopped at a stoplight near Swope and Benton in Kansas City on Sunday when someone shot into her car.

Her younger sister, Marissa, was driving behind her and witnessed the crime.

“I called the police at 9:14, I’ll never forget that time,” Marissa said. “I couldn't see who shot them, but I saw where they came from, and it was the car on her left side over on the center lane."

The Addison family is relying on faith and one another as they mourn the loss of their young daughter, sister and friend.

“Whoever did this, please turn yourself in,” said Michael. “Please, please it's only a matter of time."
