KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Country Club Station Post Office, located at 108 W. 63rd St. in KCMO, is temporarily closed after a recent safety inspection.
The Post Office conducts quarterly safety inspections of its facilities. During a recent inspection at the Country Club Station location, they found obvious signs of damage from a leaky roof. There were additional structural concerns around the windows.
Stacy St. John with the United States Post Office said in a statement:
“As a result of a recent safety inspection at the leased facility, retail and delivery services located at the Country Club Station have been moved to the Waldo Post Office located at 119 Gregory St. 1.1 miles away. There is no time table for reopening at this time.”
The Post Office is working with the landlord to fix the issues. It intends to eventually re-open the Country Club Station location once it’s fixed.
