KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It was a day of fun in the snow for many families at Westwood Park Friday in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sean Power went to the park with his wife and three kids to go sledding. Power said the family was grateful to have a reason to leave the house and have some fun.
"It was a fantastic day to come out, we've been cooped up for the last eleven months," Power said." It's not too cold but cold enough and so we just wanted to have a good family time out on the hill today."
Power said it was even more of a treat that the snow came on New Year's Day.
"We're thrilled it's now 2021 and not 2020," Power said.
Power said he's looking forward what 2021 will bring.
"I know that things haven't finally dissipated, but we're very excited to just have a new beginning and there's hope on the horizon for us, and so we're excited about that," Power said.
