Hurricane Florence extends impact to Kansas City

Posted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – There will be worse impacts from Hurricane Florence, but the storm’s effects have made it as far west as Kansas City.

The Kansas City, Missouri City Council was slated to receive an update on the new terminal project during Thursday's Business Session.

But one of the key presenters for the meeting, a legal expert from Washington that was scheduled to talk about a community benefits agreement between the city and Edgemoor, wasn’t able to make the meeting because of the storm.

The benefits agreement has come under increased focus following a Federal Aviation Administration report seeking clarification on the source of funding for parts of the agreement.

The presentation has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 27.
