KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An inmate from the Lansing Correctional Facility who escaped in a dump truck in January pleaded guilty on Monday to charges related to the escape.

Cal Green, 36, was a minimum security inmate when officials say he stole a dump truck from the corrections facility and used it to escape on Jan. 7, 2019.

The stolen dump truck was located in Kansas City, Kansas, and Green was located in Independence on Jan. 10 and arrested.

On Monday, he pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated escape from custody, felony theft and burglary of a motor vehicle, according to Leavenworth County officials.

Green originally was serving time for an aggravated battery charge in Wyandotte County.
