Kansas City Mayor Sly James will answer questions about the future of the city's airport during a town hall meeting Wednesday night.
The city hopes to put a question on November's ballot asking voters whether the city should build a new, single terminal at KCI.
Four developers presented plans to build that terminal Monday. A selection committee will reconvene Friday to continue deliberating which developer to choose.
Tuesday, the committee asked each developer follow-up questions about financing their proposals. Answers are due by noon Thursday.
Several large business leaders in the KC Metro sent letters to the cityand mayor supporting a new airport terminal. They argue the upgrade would move the city's economy forward.
Tonight, residents will be able to learn more about the process and why the question will go to voters in November.
The mayor will accept questions via Facebook and Twitter as well as from attendees at the town hall.
It takes place from 6p.m. to 7p.m. at the Gem Theater, 1615 E. 18th Street. No RSVP is necessary, but seating is first come, first served.
