KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 16-year-old teenage girl is facing charges for the March 29 killing of 17-year-old Rowan Padgett.
Johnson County prosecutors charged the girl early Wednesday with first degree murder and interference with law enforcement.
Prosecutors have filed a motion that the teen be tried as an adult.
The teen remains in custody at the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center.
