KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lottery players who buy tickets in Jackson County, Missouri, should check tickets for Tuesday's jackpot drawing very carefully.

The winning $50 million Mega Millions lottery ticket from the March 12 drawing was sold at a local QuikTrip, 6641 E. Truman Road in Kansas City, Missouri.

The lucky ticket matched all six numbers — 10, 12, 16, 49, 57 — and the a Mega Ball (18).

The winner has yet to claim his or her prize at the Missouri Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City.

Game winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize, which gives the winner until Sept. 8, 2019, to present the winning ticket.

If the jackpot prize is claimed within 60 days, the ticket holder may choose between two options — receiving the prize in one lump-sum payment, which is approximately have of the advertised jackpot, or receiving the full amount in 30 graduated annuity payments.

If the jackpot isn't claimed within 60 days, the payout automatically defaults to the annuity option.
