KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman has been charged in the fatal shooting that took place outside of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department Central Patrol building in late February.
Devon Nolan was shot and killed in front of a car with three children inside at 1200 Linwood Blvd.
Deshonia S. Diamond, 26, has been charged with second degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of armed criminal action and a misdemeanor count of failure to report a shooting.
A witness told police that Nolan and Diamond met at the station to exchange children.
Before passing, Nolan told officers that Diamond shot him with a pink gun and described the vehicle she left in.
Police said surveillance video showed Nolan and Diamond exiting the police lot when Nolan was shot while standing outside his vehicle.
Court documents state a warrant recovered a pink and black gun in Diamond's apartment, and text messages and a recorded conversation reveal Diamond had threatened to kill Nolan earlier.
Prosecutors requested a $100,000 cash bond for Diamond.
