KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced Saturday night that a second person in Greene County has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a tweet, Parson said that Missouri has tested 127 people for the virus, and 122 tests have been negative.
The five positive tests are:
- Green County (two)
- St. Louis County (two)
- Henry County (one)
The Missouri Department of Health and Human Services said in a news release that the case is travel-related. The state laboratory, according to MDHHS, no longer has to send positive tests to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"Results from tests conducted at the state laboratory are considered final, including results for this case today," the release stated.
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department stated on Saturday that it would not provide identifying information for the person who tested positive.
