Security is ramping up in Cleveland as more than 50,000 visitors are expected for the Republican National Convention.
From bomb-sniffing dogs to bomb-disposal robots, the city and nation is working to prevent any disruptions.
"Any time there is an event like this that people from across a spectrum of radical groups will be attracted to it, so we are watching it very carefully," FBI Director James Comey said Thursday.
Jackson County Republican Committee Chairman Mark Anthony Jones is also watching. He attended his first convention four years ago in Tampa, where police patrolled on water and on land.
"They bussed us from our hotel very securely, we crossed metal detectors and searched the busses," Jones said. "I'm really not expecting any problems."
The Trump delegate says this election season is packed with a tremendous amount of energy. Although Jones wasn't voting for Trump right from the get-go, he said this is the right candidate to bring the party together.
"It's really important that our party be an inclusive party with all kinds of people we have to grow our party," Jones said.
He learned he was going to the RNC back in May, so he booked his travel and hotel within days.
