Good morning bloggers,
It would be easy to step outside this morning and think, "wow, it isn't that bad out there". Well, this is far from reality as you can see on the attached surface map picture I posted. As of 7:30 AM, there is an abrupt change racing our way. The temperatures will likely drop into the 20s from our current 47°. This will be a 20 degree drop that will happen in the next few hours, likely before noon in most areas.
There is also a chance of a few snowflakes as the crashing temperatures arrive. We are not expecting any chance of an accumulation in KC, but a light dusting is possible if you are driving 50 miles north of KC.
As we look ahead, there is another warm up in our forecast later this week, and then a storm may affect the Broncos/Chiefs game on Sunday. A few of the computer models are showing another cold blast and a chance of snow later this weekend. Let' see how this sets up and we will go in-depth on 41 Action News tonight.
