Good Wednesday bloggers,

We are tracking some nice weather and a big change next week.

TODAY-TONIGHT:
Today will be mostly sunny with highs 55-60. Tonight will be calm with lows 35-40.

THURSDAY-FRIDAY:
A weak system comes in from the southwest Thursday as a weak cold front comes in from the northwest. So, Thursday will see increasing clouds with highs in the 50s. Rain showers will develop later in the afternoon mostly south of KC. Thursday night will see the rain increase to the south and move away as colder air moves in. The KC area may see a few showers with amounts trace-.05" Thursday evening. If it tracks farther north, we could see a bit more rain. Lows Friday will be 30-35 with highs 40-45. No icy roads are expected as it will not get cold enough, long enough for ice to form, assuming there is enough water to freeze in the first place.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY:
The weekend looks nice with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s and 40s. This is ahead of a big change as the jet stream begins to flow in from the north pole.

MONDAY-TUESDAY:
Monday may warm to 45-50 ahead of a major blast of cold. Tuesday will see lows 10-15 with highs in the 20s. Wind chill values will likely be below zero. Ouch! Eek! There is an increasing chance for some snow Monday evening and night as the cold air rushes in as a system tracks along the leading edge of the cold. It does not look like a big storm, but could easily mess up the roads. The end of next week may see another system. The cold air will be around for much of next week.
