Good Friday bloggers,

We have seen 1.62" of rain, melted ice/snow in January. Average for the entire month is 1.07". We are going to be adding a decent amount to our January rainfall total with just 2 days left in the month.

We are tracking a storm for this weekend that will bring mostly rain to our area. It will be nice to wash off the salt and sand. Some cities in the Midwest could see quite a bit of snow.

As of noon Friday the storm was churning over southern California. This storm has brought many, many, many feet of snow to the Sierra Nevada and many inches of rain to the coast. This is much, much, much needed precipitation for this state. It would have been nice to not get so much at once, but they will take what they can get.

As of noon Friday there were heavy rain showers, perhaps a thunderstorm ongoing in Los Angeles.

How much rain will we see? What is the timing? Could we see some snow? If so, how much?

Answers to these questions and more are in the 6 minute video below.

Have a great weekend and stay healthy.
