Good Tuesday bloggers,

We are having some great weather to get outside and take a walk. It is great weather to eat outside as well. Now, at a safe distance (6+ feet) of course. This great weather will come to an end Thursday. Friday is shaping up to be quite a weather day. Let's go through this.

WEDNESDAY: The weather looks great with highs into the 70s. There will be a south breeze at 15-25 mph, but still what a nice day to start April. Lows tomorrow will be in the 40s.

THURSDAY: This is when we will see the first wave of changes. A weak system will race in from the southwest. This will increase clouds and bring scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Rainfall will be a trace to .50". Lows will be in the 50s with highs will in the 60s along with a south wind at 15-25 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT-FRIDAY MORNING: The first system will exit as the second system and strong cold front approach. We will see temperatures around 60 with a few showers and thunderstorms. Strong north winds with temperatures in the 20s and 30s will be surging south across Nebraska and Kansas. Snow is likely from northeast Colorado to much of Nebraska to the Dakotas and Minnesota where 2" to 10" of snow may fall.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON: Eek! The front will move through and temperatures will plummet to the 30s during the afternoon. Wind chill value will drop to the teens! A cold rain will be likely falling as well during the afternoon. Yes, it is close to snowing or even seeing freezing rain. New rainfall of .10" to .50" is possible.

FRIDAY NIGHT-SATURDAY: The sky will likely clear as a surface high pressure moves in. This will set us up for a freeze. The data below shows a low of 31. But, the temperature could easily drop to 25-30. It will depend on how fast the sky clears. Saturday will be sunny along with much less wind. Highs will be around 50.

So, the best days this week to get outside are today and Wednesday.

Have a great rest of your week and stay healthy!
