KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Good morning bloggers,

I have had many people come up to me asking, "Gary, why did we not get a fall?" And then I have to explain that we are having a great fall. Last weekend was just incredibly beautiful. The fall foliage is spectacular. Just because it snowed very early this year doesn't mean winter started early. Now, it may seem like winter is starting early by Thursday, as a strong cold front will move through. Let's take it one day at a time.

Kansas City Weather Time-line:

  • Today: Mostly sunny with a few morning clouds. A light south breeze will help us warm up into the 50s. It will be a great fall day.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny with increasing clouds late in the day. It will be another great fall day with highs approaching 60 degrees
  • Thursday: Turning much colder with north winds 15-20 mph. Bundle up, as it may not be such a great fall day. Highs in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s

The picture attached shows Rainbow The Weather Puppy and Sunny The Weather Dog enjoying the fall day. Some of the trees are at peak color right now. You can share your pictures with me if you would like. I am posting this to my Facebook page, so post your fall pictures there. I will try to show some on the air tonight.

Enjoy this great fall weather! Have a great day, and watch 41 Action News today and tonight for Kansas City's Most Accurate forecast!
