Weather Blog: Increasingly Odd Weather Pattern

Good Saturday morning,

We had a super Saturday, cloudless sunrise. It made for an artistic silhouette of Kansas City.

The cloudless sunrise also allowed us to see Venus rising ahead of the sun, gorgeous morning.

The clear sky also allowed our temperature to drop, "radiational cooling", and this created a frost. If you parked outside, you likely had to use the ice scraper. If you waited until after 9-10 AM you likely did not need the ice scraper as the frost melted.

Now to the weather pattern the next 7 days. A storm system will form east of the Mississippi River Monday as a system from the southern Plains and one from western Canada merge. As that storm moves east a second system will drop south from central Canada into the Plains Wednesday-Thursday.

Both systems will have an impact on our area. The second one has the potential to be much more of an impact.

Details on this interesting and odd weather pattern are in the video below.

Have a great weekend and stay healthy.
