Good Saturday bloggers,

We awoke to a rather hazy sky with some cumulus and stratocumulus clouds. The haze is, you guessed it, smoke from the western wildfires. It was thin on Friday and thick today. Hopefully, the big weather change Sunday will push the smoke out for good. The fires will continue in California for quite some time as there is no rain in their forecast. So, we may see the smoke return this fall.

Now, today we will make a run at 90° and this may not return in 2020. A day or two in the low to mid 80s is possible in October, but reaching near 90° is tough to do.

We are tracking a major weather change before this weekend is over. Look at the totally different forecasts for today and Sunday.

SATURDAY: It will be windy, mostly sunny, hazy, very warm and humid with highs near 90°.

SUNDAY: The day will start dry with increasing clouds. Temperatures will reach to around 70° by noon in KC. It will be cooler north and warmer south. The afternoon will see rain and thunderstorms increase as temperatures decrease.

The video below has all of the details on this big weather change.

Have a great rest of your weekend and stay healthy.
