Good late afternoon bloggers,

Did you hear the thunder last night? Thunderstorms moved through Kansas City around 1 AM to 3 AM in the morning with some lightning and thunder. Rainfall amounts varied from 0.79" at the 41 Action News studios, to 0nly 0.28" at KCI Airport. It was still a nice soaking in most areas, and we needed it.

What is next?

Snow is a possibility Friday afternoon and evening. It just doesn't look like this next storm will get its act together. We still will be monitoring it closely, however, as if it strengthens just a little bit, a dusting of snow or more is possible.

The area of snow appears it will be very small, but again, let's monitor Friday closely. By late Friday night, this storm will have moved by, and the weekend is looking good. Sunday will be the better day with highs in the 50s.

Then, we have the holiday week ahead of us. And, there is a series of storm systems that will bring chances of rain and snow. The first system next week may have that first chance by Tuesday. So, if you know anyone heading into town, this first storm will bring a possibility of a little snow.

For Thanksgiving Day, it appears there will be a warm up Thursday into Friday. It is just too early to call, as there is another storm approaching the area. We will go in-depth on our newscasts tonight.
