Good Saturday bloggers,

We are tracking four systems the next seven days as we are in an active weather pattern. At least this weather makes it easy to stay inside. The first storm system is moving through today with rain, sleet and snow. Temperatures are warm enough so that roads are wet. This will be the case through the weekend. Let's go through the next 7 days and track these 4 storm systems.

SATURDAY: The rain, sleet and some snow will end this afternoon leaving mist, drizzle and flurries with highs near 40. Tonight will be cloudy and cold with mist and flurries. Winds will be east to northeast 10-25 mph making wind chill values in the 20s. Total rainfall with this storm will be .25" to .50".

SUNDAY: It will be cloudy, but not as cold and windy with highs in the 40s. There may be some mist, but overall it will be a dry day.

MONDAY: The second storm system moves in and a period of light to moderate rain is likely with lows in the 30s and highs 45-50.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY: This will be a dry day with highs 50-55. If we are going to see any sun the next 7 days, this would be the day with the best chance.

WEDNESDAY: The third storm system in the series will move through with light to moderate rain, but heavy a times. It is bigger than the second system. Temperatures will be in the 40s.

THURSDAY: This is when the fourth and biggest storm of the series moves through. We will be on the warmer side of this storm which means we will see rain and thunderstorms that could be rather heavy at times. We will have to watch for the chance of some severe weather as temperatures surge to the 60s. Our spring weather special is on live at 6:30 PM this day on 41 Action News, so it would be fitting to have some severe weather. A snowstorm will occur from Colorado, Wyoming to western Nebraska, South Dakota to Minnesota and the Great Lakes.

Look at the temperatures in Nebraska. 58 in Omaha and 24 in Valentine. Look at our temperature, 65. We will have more on this storm in the coming days.

FRIDAY: The storm will move away and we will be windy and cold. Next weekend we could see a freeze, so hold off putting potted plants outside.

RAINFALL FORECAST THE NEXT 7-10 DAYS: We could see a new 2"-3" of rain and keep in mind the entire month of March averages 2.37". So, there is going to be plenty of moisture heading into the warm season. Hopefully, not too much.

This active weather pattern includes the entire USA. San Francisco may see close to 4" of rain the next 7-10 days. They need it out there, especially since the rainy season ends in a few weeks. Flooding will be possible from Oklahoma to the Tennessee Valley where 4" to 8" of rain is possible.

Have a great weekend through these unique times.
