KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Good morning bloggers,

We had a rare October snowstorm with 1 to 2 inches of snow in many locations. A few spots had a bit more than that, and there are a few slick spots this morning.

The temperatures dropped into the lower and middle 20s this morning and this helped create some freezing of the melting snow. It is a rare "white Halloween." It is hard to get a white Christmas in KC, and everything is coated white on this Thursday morning.

Improving weather! The weather is improving dramatically. A cold front will move through Friday night, but it will warm up between now and then. It will cool off Saturday, and then Sunday will jump up to near 60 degrees.

If you have any snow pictures please post them to my Facebook account or tweet me @glezak. I will try to show some pictures on the air tonight.

Trick or Treat forecast: It will be dry and a bit cold. Temperatures will drop from a high in the low 40s down into the 30s by 6 or 7 PM. Bundle up the kids, be safe, and have some fun. Try not to eat too much candy! Happy Halloween!
