This is not a drill! Deep fried Twinkies are coming to a Walmart.
A funnel cake battered sponge cake with creamy filling is a popular treat for fair-goers and those who love all things deep fried.
Now, they are coming to a shelf near you.
Anne D'Innocenzio, a national retail writer for The Associated Press, reported Wal-Mart has worked with Hostess to develop the yellow snack cake.

D'Innocenzio also reports Wal-Mart will sell the the snack cake, once dubbed a "Golden Sponge Cake with Creamy Filling," for one year.
The pre-packaged product is frozen and the words "enjoy hot" appear on the box.
