The Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office said it has filed charges against a man for attempting rape of a child under 14 years of age.
According to the district attorney, Zachary Taylor Garrett, 22, of Kansas City, Kansas, tried to sell a 2-year-old child on Craigslist to undercover agents for the purpose of sexual activity.
The investigation started several weeks ago near Springfield, Missouri, and Garrett was arrested in the 3300 block of North 59th Terrace in Kansas City, Kansas.
Garrett’s bond is set at $500,000 and no court date has been set at this time.
