A woman was hurt late Monday night in what police believe to be a drive-by shooting.
Officers said someone drove by the Willowind Apartments near 39th & Willow Avenue just before midnight and shot into four apartments.
One woman was hurt, but police said it was a minor injury. It’s unclear if she was injured by a gunshot or broken glass.
Police said the shooting appeared to be random. Investigators don't believe the people in those apartments have any connection.
Lydalene Ganaway said she had just come back from Des Moines when she heard six gunshots. She reacted and hit the floor.
"It could've been a mess. I mean anybody could've been hurt. There's children who live here. Their parents. My grandkids could've been here from out of town. I just don't know. It makes you wonder," said Ganaway.
Police do not have any suspects in custody, and they are looking for a gray sedan.
