High waters rushed down Indian Creek near 103rd & State Line Thursday morning, after several inches of rain fell the night before.

The creek didn't crest or cause flooding issues, but it is a problem area.

Business owners and homeowners in the area are familiar with what could happen every time Kansas City gets a decent rain.

In 2013, nearly 30 homes and 20 businesses were evacuated because of flash flooding.

It's such a problem area because other tributaries flow into it.

Residents have complained that they think it should be fixed.

Thursday's rain, however, did not bring the issues the area has seen in previous years.

The water was receding throughout the early morning hours.
