Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton addressed delegates at the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., on Thursday.

Clinton spoke to a crowd of delegates in attendance for the 136th annual session that was being held in the Kansas City Convention Center. It was Clinton's first time addressing the convention.

Her speech was called, "A Call to Faith and Service." She discussed the role her methodist faith plays in her commitment to public service.

"I embraced an activist, social justice faith. A roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty faith," said Clinton.

Organizers said Clinton's speech is the first of several speeches where she intends to explore the core idea at the heart of her campaign for presidency, "Stronger Together."

Clinton confronted Donald Trump, saying he has a long history of racial discrimination in his business and "traffics in toxic conspiracy theories" like the President Barack Obama "birther" movement.

"If he doesn't respect all Americans, how can he serve all Americans?" said Clinton.

In response to Clinton's visit, Missouri state director Aaron Willard with Donald Trump's campaign, said:

"Unfortunately for Hillary, her visit to Missouri comes less than a day after her dismal performance in the commander-in-chief forum, where she struggled with basic answers on national security issues and protecting classified information.  The evidence that Hillary Clinton is completely unfit to serve as President of the United States mounts by the day, with revelations of misuse of classified emails on her homebrew server and her pay-to-play scheme at the State Department where she traded official access for donations to the Clinton foundation from foreign agents.  Missouri voters are tired of the same old Washington corruption and back room deals from career politicians and will vote for change in November."
