Amazon buying Whole Foods could change the way consumers buy groceries. The food delivery niche could soon be wide-open.

Amazon announced that it's buying Whole Foods for nearly $14 billion.

Amazon already has a grocery deliver service called "Amazon Fresh," but its only available in Seattle and Los Angeles.

Rollin' Grocers delivers fresh produce and food to neighborhoods in Kansas City.

The company's owner, Natasha Ria El-Scari says they have between 18 and 25 schedules stops every week. She doesn't believe Amazon's acquisition with affect her business.

"Anytime you have a large corporation there's always a possibility that they can change the culture. I think the challenge is that it's food." said El-Scari.

The e-commerce giant has not outlined any planned changes. The Whole Foods stores will continue to operate as a separate unit of the company
