OVERNIGHT: One dead after shooting in KCMO

One person has died following a fatal shooting in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Police were called to the area of 59th and Blue Hills around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday night after reports of gunshots being fired. 

Upon arrival, officers located a black male victim in his mid 30s lying in a parking lot with apparent bullet wounds. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced dead. 

Witnesses say the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal argument when the shooting occurred. 

According to the authorities, the suspect is a black male wearing a black hoodie. 

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
