A Kansas City man is accused of exposing himself to a woman, saying a voice in his head told him to.

Ivan Tyson, 29, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual misconduct.

According to court documents, Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the 3900 block of Euclid in regard to a disturbance.

The victim told police Tyson came to her residence and she triggered the alarm. When police arrived Tyson left. Court documents say the victim told police shortly afterwards Tyson returned to her address, stood out front and exposed himself to her. The victim called police and Tyson was arrested.

According to court documents, Tyson told police he could hear other people’s thoughts. He said he heard the victim’s voice telling him she wanted to have sex with him so we went to her residence.

On the evening of Tyson’s arrest, a detention officer stated a female detention officer had been in Tyson’s cell along with other inmates when she saw Tyson masturbating beneath his clothes, according to court documents.

Tyson is a registered sex offender.
