Kansas City police have one person in custody after a standoff Friday morning.
KCPD said at 3:18 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the 3800 block of Agnes in regard to a shooting.
When officers arrived, a shooting victim was located outside the residence. Police said she was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. She said her brother, the suspect, shot her and was alone inside the residence.
Officers made verbal contact with the suspect, but he refused to exit the residence. Police said negotiators were on scene.
After about two hours, police took the suspect into custody.
