UPDATE 10:20 P.M. 4/22/2017: Two men have been charged in the shooting of 32-year-old Dorron Blackmon.
Dionandre Ganter, 28, and Michael Sewell, 42, are both charged with second-degree murder, attempted robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.
ORIGINAL STORY 3/11/2017:
Two people were shot just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, and one later died of his injuries.
Police were called to the 2100 block of East 39th Street on a shooting.
When officers arrived they located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
While still at the scene, officers were notified a second victim arrived at a hospital by private vehicle. That victim later died of his injuries. He was identified as Dorron Blackmon, 31.
An investigation is underway, and anyone with any information is encouraged to call police.
