BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was hit by a vehicle Sunday evening.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the woman ran into traffic on the westbound lanes of I-70 at Woods Chapel Rd. Police were called to the area around 6:45 p.m.
The woman was unresponsive when crews arrived and taken to an area hospital.
The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.
Missouri Highway Patrol troopers shut down the right lane and the exit ramp from I-70 to Woods Chapel Rd. to investigate the incident.
