Lenexa police are trying to track down a suspect following rape and robbery that occurred on January 22.
Authorities say the crimes occurred at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lenexa near 95th Street and I-35.
A manager there said the woman victim was in the restaurant or bar area early in the evening. At some point, she came out saying the man in the surveillance photo had stolen her phone and purse. The manager said she later came back to the hotel with police, saying she had been raped.
The suspect is described as a black man with medium-complexion, 6'1", with a mustache and goatee.
Police are looking for the man in the surveillance photo above, who they say may go by the name of Virgel Manning. He frequents Westport and could drive a silver Toyota Corolla.
Police also provided the picture of a female who is believed to know the suspect. She wasn't involved in the crime, but the two were seen together on surveillance video.
