University of Kansas Health System daily briefing

University of Kansas Health System officials said there were 153 total COVID-19 patients in the hospital as of Wednesday. Of those, 89 were considered acute infections with 47 of those in the ICU and 26 on the ventilator. The other 64 are in the recovery phase and six of those are on the ventilator.

Doctors were joined by other officials to further discuss COVID-19 vaccines and how they will be distributed in Kansas.

Libraries expand internet options during pandemic

Friends of the Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library is hosting a fundraiser to raise money to provide WiFi hot spots that can be checked out by library users and increase internet access for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
