KANSAS CITY, Mo.— A midtown restaurant didn’t open for lunch Friday after someone broke in overnight.

The owners of Krokstrom Klubb & Market, Katee McLean and Josh Rodgers, said they discovered the door to the front and back of their restaurant busted when arrived to open at 10:30 a.m.

McLean and Rodgers told 41 Action News the suspect took off with $400 from the safe but didn’t take any electronics.

They stepped up security measures after a series of restaurant break-ins across the city in the past seven months.

McLean believes it’s the same individual committing the crimes.

The business at 3601 Broadway is closed for lunch, but plans to open for dinner.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is asked to call KC Police or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477.
