A man was shot on US 69 in Overland Park on Sunday.
Shortly before 7 p.m., an Overland Park police officer was in the area of the 9000 block of Bluejacket and was flagged down by citizens reporting they heard gunshots in the area. Another caller reported seeing a vehicle driving erratically in the area of 95th and Niema, possibly coming from US 69.
A witness reported the vehicle was traveling southbound on Quivira and appeared to have a hole in the window that looked like a bullet hole.
Police say the victim drove to the Candlewood Suites at 11001 Oakmont after he was shot and was taken to the hospital from there. The man was conscious and talking with officers before transported.
Overland Park police blocked traffic on US 69 at 91st Street for a period of time to investigate.
