KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A St. Louis-area grocery store opened its doors exclusively to shoppers 60 or older for an hour on Monday morning to tackle COVID-19 fears.
Older adults and those with preexisting health conditions are the most susceptible to the rapidly spreading virus.
According to NBC affiliate KSDK, Field Foods opened from 7-8 a.m. to cater to older shoppers who might be nervous to enter the store during normal hours.
The store appears to be the first in the state implementing the social distancing safety measure.
