A Mission father and former police officer for the VA of Kansas City is behind bars, accused of sexually touching and fondling two underage girls.

Sean Acree, 38, is charged in Johnson County District Court with five felony counts, including aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

On Tuesday, Acree, who once served in the Army, stood before a Johnson County judge in a black and white jumpsuit for his first court appearance.

Court documents allege Acree fondled and touched two underage girls “with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires” of himself and/or them between July 2009 and December 2015.

“I'm very shocked,” said Janet Myers, who lives across the street. “He would wave, he was no problem. We would just see him come and go.”

Myers said Acree lives with a 3-year-old, who she believes is his daughter, and a significant other. A child’s pink toy car could been seen from the road in his backyard.

Acree is being held on a $250,000 bond.
