Police are investigating a fatal crash that left one person dead Sunday night in Independence, Missouri.
Authorities were called to the area of US-40 and I-70 around 10:30 p.m. when an eastbound vehicle struck a westbound vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn onto WB I-70.
A female was ejected from the eastbound vehicle and died at the scene. Occupants from both vehicles involved in the crash were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and the deceased victim of the crash has not yet been identified.
