When did you start working here?
I started working at KSHB in July 2016.

Where else have you worked?
I worked at WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia for three years before moving to KC.

Where did you go to college?
I went to school at North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) in Raleigh, NC and graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology and minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science in 2013.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work?
My favorite part of the job is connecting with the viewers and explaining the forecast in an understandable way through science. I would love for someone to learn something new while listening to my forecasts! I also take pride in being a trustworthy source during severe weather. My goal is to provide the latest and most accurate forecasts to help protect viewers and the community.

Aside from the job, I love teaching young scientists about weather! If you would like someone to come to your school or camp feel free to contact me. Not to mention, I'd love to meet you!

What are you most proud of in your own life?
I am proud to hold the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society. .

What do you love about living in the KC area?
I love all the parks and open areas around the KC area. I love being outside, running and riding my bike so there are a lot of opportunities to do that around the city. I'm excited to discover and learn more about the KC area!

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions?
I can't wait to get to watch all the teams in this area! I love sports and know I will join the Royals and Chiefs fan base very quickly. It's great that we are the official meteorologist of the KC Royals! I'm from Chicagoland so naturally I am a huge Cubs and Blackhawks fan as well.

All-time favorites... (movies, shows, books, music)
Reading is one of my favorite past times. I read anything from sci-fi to mystery to romance. The Harry Potter series, Hunger Games series and Girl With A Dragon Tattoo series are some of my favorites. I watch more TV than I do movies. I'm a huge Bachelor/ Bachelorette fan! I also enjoy Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and So You Think You Can Dance.
